Braking
You need to stop quickly on dry pavement. What is the best way to brake?
The front brake does most of the stopping, because weight shifts forward as you slow. Squeeze it smoothly and add the rear brake. Grabbing the front hard can lock the wheel, and using only the rear gives a longer stop.

Common questions
When will the full motorcycle practice tests be ready?
We are building them now, starting with a few states. The sample questions on this page show how they will work. Check back soon, or email us and we will tell you when your state is ready.
Will the free motorcycle tests need an account?
Like our car and CDL tests, the free tests are meant to open with no sign-up. Premium will unlock every question and the full exams.
Are these the real test questions?
No. They will be practice questions written from your state's motorcycle manual, with every answer explained. Read your official manual too, and use the link to your agency on your state page.
Is a motorcycle knowledge test different from the car test?
Yes. It covers riding topics such as braking, curves, lane position, gear and visibility. Many states also require a riding skills test or an approved rider course, so check with your licensing agency.
