Who we are
DMVZone started with practice tests that explain every answer. Today we are a software company building across driver education.
Our mission is simple: make learning to drive clearer for students and the work easier for the schools and companies that serve them. Our practice content is written from official state and federal sources, and we build the tools around it ourselves.
What we build
Some of this is live today. Some is in development. Some is still an idea. Each card says which.

Traffic signals
What should you do at a flashing red light?
A flashing red light works like a stop sign. Come to a full stop, then go when it is your turn.
Air brakes
At about what pressure does the governor normally cut the compressor out?
The governor usually cuts in near 100 psi and cuts out near 125 psi. These numbers can vary slightly by vehicle.
Braking
You need to stop quickly on dry pavement. What is the best way to brake?
The front brake does most of the stopping, because weight shifts forward as you slow. Squeeze it smoothly and add the rear brake. Grabbing the front hard can lock the wheel, and using only the rear gives a longer stop.

Solutions
From a website that brings in students to the tools that run the back office.
A fast, clear website for your driving school: your courses, your prices, your contact details, working well on a phone.
Software that removes repeat paperwork, such as generating and verifying six-hour course certificates.
If your business runs on spreadsheets and phone calls, we can build a tool shaped around how you work.
Our Vision
We want to be the software behind how people learn to drive, from the first permit question to the technology that changes the car itself.
Permit and CDL practice platforms, certificate tools and school websites, built from official sources.
Motorcycle practice, wider state coverage and deeper tools for the schools and companies we work with.
New ways to learn to drive and tools for the automotive world. This is direction, not a product yet.
If you run a driving school, issue certificates, or work with drivers in any other way, we would like to hear what you need. Tell us about your organization and we will reply with how we can help.
