Where is the Freehold road test site?

The MVC lists the Freehold site at 801 Okerson Road, Freehold, NJ 07728, in Monmouth County. It is an MVC road testing site.

Monmouth Driving Schools, with an office at 190 South St in Freehold, lists Manalapan, Freehold Township, Freehold Borough, Englishtown, Morganville, Howell, Jackson, Lakewood, Millstone, Monroe and Old Bridge. Freehold Driving School, based in Marlboro, says it covers Western Monmouth County.

A road test needs an appointment. Bring 6 Points of ID, a valid exam permit, and an accompanying NJ licensed driver 21 or older with 3 years licensed. The test takes about 10 to 15 minutes. If you fail, wait at least 14 days before you test again.

Supervised practice before the test is 6 months for GDL drivers under 21, 3 months for GDL drivers over 21, and 20 days for non-GDL drivers.

What to bring to the Freehold road test

The MVC requires an appointment, takes about 10 to 15 minutes, and has you wait at least 14 days to retest after a fail. It checks reversing, stopping at signs, intersections, smooth stopping, steering, parallel parking and yielding.
