RoadVerified
Certificates a driving school can prove are real.
A certificate builder for driving schools. Set up your school once, fill in the student and class dates, and the finished certificate unlocks on screen and reaches the student as a PDF. A QR code on it opens a public page that shows your school's own record.
- Rules for all 50 states and DC
- Works on a phone
- QR check page
- Public ledger
- Four certificate designs
- Team back end
How it works
From sign-up to the student's inbox in five steps.
Steps 3 to 5 take about 30 seconds. Or log lessons as they happen: in the Students tab an instructor logs each drive from a phone, a progress bar fills toward the required hours, and the certificate unlocks when it hits the target. The app enforces the state's daily limit, such as 3 behind-the-wheel hours a day in New Jersey, and refuses future dates.
1. Sign up and confirm your email
The school owner makes an account and confirms it from the email link. The first 5 certificates are free.
2. Set up the school once
Pick the state, enter the school name, license number and address, add the logo, and sign once with a finger or mouse. Add each instructor with their license number and signature.
3. Fill in the student
First and last name, email, date of birth, permit number and lesson dates. The certificate type and hours come from the state's rules, and the preview builds as you type.
4. Press Issue and watch it unlock
The certificate opens with a short reveal, then shows what was sent: the check page link, the code and seal, and the PDF.
5. The student gets it by email
The PDF arrives in the school's name with a button to send it to an insurance agent. The school keeps it in History to download, resend, correct or revoke.
The unlock
A reveal worth pressing Issue for.
The certificate waits behind a lock. When the school presses Issue, the lock opens, a light sweeps across and the certificate arrives with its check page, code and seal.
It takes under 3 seconds. A dark vault shows the course and the student's name behind a gold padlock; the shackle lifts, a band of light sweeps across, and the vault swings away to a burst of gold sparkles. On a student's progress bar the certificate stays locked until the required hours are logged. People who turn on reduced motion get the finished certificate straight away.

Certificate designs
Four designs, any school color.
Classic, Modern, Highway and Minimal. Each carries the school's logo and signatures, a fine security pattern, a serial number, a check code and a QR code.
Public check page
Scan the QR code, see the truth.
Anyone can confirm a certificate is genuine. The page shows the school's own record, so a changed PDF stands out right away. Students can send it to their insurance company in one tap.
Fraud protection
Seven layers, so a fake gets caught.
Anyone can check a certificate against the school's own record in seconds, and a changed copy no longer matches. Revoked certificates show as revoked, and corrected ones point to their replacement.
Check code and QR code
Every certificate prints an 8-character code and a QR code that open its public check page. A made-up code finds no record.
Public check page
Shows the student, course, dates, hours, instructor and school license the school recorded, so edited details show their real values.
Keyed security seal
A seal code computed from the certificate's details with a secret key. A copy with altered details no longer matches.
PDF fingerprint
The first PDF is stored with its fingerprint. Drop a PDF on the check page to compare it; nothing is uploaded. A single changed character fails.
Public ledger
Every issue and revoke is added to a public chain where each entry locks in the one before it, with no personal data. Records can't be quietly backdated.
Verified schools
Our team checks the school license and owner ID and calls the school's publicly listed number before adding the blue check mark.
Security printing
A unique fine-line pattern and microtext on every certificate make quick scanner or AI-image copies stand out.
Who gets what
Students and parents
Get the PDF in their inbox right away, can download it again from the check page, and can send it to their insurance agent in one tap for a possible discount.
Insurance companies
Scan the QR code or enter the code to see the school's own record, drop the PDF on the check page to confirm it is the original, or use a private insurer portal.
Driving schools
Stop answering calls to confirm certificates, keep everything in one history, and get a Google review button in each email, sent when families are happiest.
School dashboard
Everything a school runs on.
Log drives as they happen, resend any certificate, switch designs, and set up the school once.

All plans include the four designs, rules for every state and DC, the check page and ledger, History with resend and revoke, the insurer portal, and staff roles. Optional parent or guardian signature and a Google review button are included too.

Why we built it
Certificates should prove themselves.
Fake certificates cost schools trust
A paper or PDF certificate is easy to change. We wanted one that proves itself the moment someone checks it.
Schools repeat the same paperwork
Logo, license number and signature are set up once. After that, a school only types the student and class dates.
Insurers and parents need a simple answer
A QR code and a check code open a public page with the school's own record, so there is nothing to argue about.
How we built it
Built by DMVZone Technologies.
Designed and built end to end, drawing on 20 years of running a New Jersey driving school, with one mission: safer roads. Research covered certificate rules for all 50 states and DC and how insurers check driver education certificates. The stack is Next.js and TypeScript, Postgres, PDFs made in the browser with an embedded QR code, email through Resend, payments through Stripe, hosted on Vercel.
Rules built in
State rules are part of the builder. For example, New Jersey's 6-hour behind-the-wheel rules limit a day to 3 hours, print the lesson dates and shorten the permit number to its last 4 digits.
Records that cannot be quietly changed
Every certificate gets a serial number, a check code and a QR code. The public ledger shows each one without any personal data.
Schools are checked first
Our team reviews each school's license and owner ID, calls the publicly listed number, and only then gives the school its blue check.
Made for the car, not just the office
There is no app to install. The whole flow works at phone size, so an instructor can issue a certificate after the last lesson.
All schools, names and students shown are made-up sample data.
